本人自2007年加入ISBD（国际标准书目著录）修订组，参与了ISBD统一版的修订和翻译工作，2015年，新一轮修订工作即将开始。为此，修订组在2014年3月~4月间做了一次全世界的普查，得到了国家图书馆馆长会议和ISSN（国际标准刊号）国际中心的配合，全世界各大图书馆（特别是国家图书馆）积极参与。
普查结果涉及各国使用ISBD的情况、翻译情况、用于OPAC目录（联机公众检索目录）显示的情况、用于制定规则的情况、直接采用的情况、今后修订的建议。
2014年10月出版的《编目与分类季刊》的ISBD专号发表了一组由各国专家撰写的有关ISBD评价和采用方面的文章，其中也有本人介绍ISBD在中国使用情况的报告，这也算是ISBD当前面临转折点的一个总结。
